Upgrade Your Hebrew Skills With These Simple Exercises
As much as the Hebrew alphabet might seem foreign and elusive at the beginning (“How will I ever learn this?”) it becomes very easy once you add a simple component:
Practice.
It’s like riding a bicycle. You need a lot of practice before you stop falling off.
And it’s the same with the Hebrew Alphabet. The only question is: How to practice?
This is why I got together with Eti Shani, our expert in all things Hebrew and we started building a system that is both fun and effective.
The result is a book that turns practicing the Hebrew alphabet into a game!
Officially, it’s not even released yet, but since you are reading this you can get it already now as part of our exclusive pre-release offer for just a fraction of the final price ($2.99 $7.99)

Adventures in (eBook) Publishing
When I finished high school, my parents asked me what I wanted to do with my life.
“I want to be a writer”, I said.
They asked me: “So, what do people do who are aspiring writers?”
“Well, I said. Not much. They get drunk, do drugs or whatever. And write, I guess. “
“Ah”, they said.
For lack of better advice we decided that I should try my luck studying lingustics. At least that would allow me to steal some time to write, I thought.
Which is what I did. For years. Participated in writing circles, read stuff on poetry slam stages, scored a few publications here and there, but lived mostly from teaching language to teenagers whose company I preferred anytime to the self-described “artist”-types and would-be comedians, all waiting to be “discovered”.

How Ebooks & The Net Bring Us Back To The Middle Ages, In a Good Way
.
Recently, I’ve been reading the Gutenberg Galaxy: The Making of Typographic Man, that (in)famous work of Marshall McLuhan, and it struck me that many of his insights relating to print media and reading culture can be applied to what is happening today, exactly 50 years after its publication in 1962.

How Indie Publishing Could Revolutionize Creative Expression But Often Doesn’t
…
It was Clay Shirky who said in a recent interview that publishing is no longer a job, it’s a button.
In fact, I’m staring at one right now. It’s blue and it says “publish”. It’s simple. Shall I click it? No? But it would make me a world-class publisher, wouldn’t it?
Some people will say yes, others no. I’d say it all depends on how you define “publishing”.  But no matter how we define it, we have to admit that it has never been easier for almost anyone to publish almost anything. Needless to say, the content here is irrelevant. To be more precise, the fact that it has become easier to publish something hasn’t automatically made it easier to publish somethingawesome!
Sure, it may have lowered the bar and allowed people to be heard who otherwise would never have been able to get past the gatekeepers, but it has also brought with it a new tension between convenience and creativity.
